Hump Day Hook for February 20th, 2013

Each week, a group of authors get together to share either a current book or a WIP during the Hook Day Hook Hop.  This week I’ve chosen to share my WIP, Tempted.  It’s the first book in The Dark Hart Chronicles and it is due out early April.

“Let me do the honors or we could be here all night,” he teased.  Pulling away from me for a moment, he tore his shirt down the middle, tossing it to the floor. His jeans met a similar fate, the sound of wet denim ripping filled the room.

Beautifully naked, he resumed his position over me.  My gaze traveled over his broad chest, lingering over the sprinkling of dark hair that dusted the defined muscles.  And finally, my eyes skimmed to his narrow waist and traced over the ripples of his stomach to rest on his arousal.  Hard and heavy, it was all I could do not to touch him.

“Now it’s your turn, love” he said softly. With a flick of his fingers, my blouse was in shreds, my skirt in tatters on the floor.  Clad only in my pink bra and panties, it was his turn to stare.  As if in a trance, his dark eyes drank me in as if he was memorizing every curve and swell of my body.

He pressed his body against me, groaning as our skin touched; like fire and ice.  I smiled briefly against his shoulder before placing a scattering of kisses where my lips had been.
